First half of the year 2019 has been tough for me (us). For the past years my life has been smooth sailing. But you'll never really know when will the big waves hit you. And it struck on me unexpectedly. But as the year progresses, little by little I pick myself up and learned to manage & control the waves that is hitting me. Just like this image of me trying to stand despite the waves, reminds me that God is always in control. This year 2020, and the start of a new decade, I declare for more blessings, protection & good health for me, my family and all my loved ones. I went to Gawad Kalinga Enchanted Farm last week. It was a fun, inspiring and an eye-opening experience. I might make a blog about it soon. But what caught my attention was these children. Yeah, for some it was just "nagkukutuhan" kind of thing. But seeing these kids just playing around on the streets of Gawad Kalinga compound (even without gadgets), reminded me of my childhood, and that life is just simple back then. Nowadays "simple life" is not the norm anymore. Showing off is the new trend I guess, and comparing our life to other people make it more detrimental. Let this image remind us na simple lang naman ang buhay, wag na natin gawing kumplikado. Ika nga nila, "happiness is found in the simplest of things and when you stop comparing." Gaya ng mga batang yan, wala namang mamahaling laruan at marangyang buhay, and yet, masaya sila. I wanna be like them. Sana kayo din.
